About Super Mario Bros. (1985 NES)

Super Mario Bros. revolutionized gaming with its side-scrolling platform design. Released in 1985 for the NES, it follows Mario and Luigi on their quest through the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue Princess Toadstool from Bowser.

Gameplay Rules

Run, jump, and defeat enemies across 8 worlds of side-scrolling stages.
Collect coins for extra lives and points.
Power-ups: Super Mushroom (grow), Fire Flower (throw fireballs), Starman (invincibility).
Reach the flagpole at the end of each stage to advance.
Defeat Bowser to rescue Princess Toadstool.

Platform Notes

PC Friendly: Fully playable in browser with keyboard controls.
